The reason you may find Profilemaker's scanner module better than the DC
module for build digital camera modlues is becuase the DC module contains
smoothing curves. If you have a cheap camera or a spikey CCD/CMOS chip in a
high end camera the Digital Camera module will make a better profile. The
scanner module works better if the camera manufacturer has clean up the
gamut /noise in advance.The same goes for Colorchecker(24) vs Colorchecker
DC for a target. A the PMA camera shootout they use both and results are all
over the board. Another Color Managment coin toss.
