I've found that the newer metamerism reducing 2000p driver does reduce the
green shift in daylight, but at the expense of a bit of grain added. I don't
notice the added visibility of the black dots unless I look very close, so
the lack of a strong shift to green in daylight is a big plus to me.

You might want to try the newer driver for this printer before deciding to
just throw it away...
