David,
There are still unresolved issues.
I understand that "Calibrate" should be on when profiles are made but
should it not be off in OptiCal when PreCal is called from OptiCal?
If the old calibration is on, it will affect how the hardware settings
on the monitor will be adjusted, since the monitor is not receiving RGB
255-255-255. As Craig also brings up, how is it done when PreCal is
started without OptiCal?
I tried to provide constructive criticism in a previous post on how to
make a good program easier to use but you did not really respond to if
the steps that I suggested are good or bad. I think OptiCal's user
interface should be modified slightly and it would be great.
Further, when reporting to ColorVison tech-support that the info
printout does not work after profiling, instead of admitting that there
is a problem, we were told to "profile twice and it will print
correctly".
Where should suggestions and bugs be reported? I am frankly surprised
to see so many issues with a program that is not new.
Bertho Boman
