I haven't been following this thread, so please forgive me if this was
answered in a prevous posting, but doesn't the contrast control move all
three guns "equally"? This also seems contrary to the on-screen
instructions in PreCal: Set all channels to maximum. I usually end up with
one channel maxed out (usually Red) and then adjust my contrast until I
reach my desired luminance (while paying attention to any color temperature
shift resulting from contrast adjustment).
Why should it make any difference if you either max out your RGB values and
adjust contrast, or max out contrast and change RGB values until desired
luminance is reached?
