I recently installed IP with a 7600. The client always works CMYK.
Using the supplied IP profiles I received an less than adequate match to the
targets.
I created a CMYK profile for Epson Presentation Matte paper and only had one
minor tweak to achieve a very reasonable match to the supplied proofs.
My method followed Colorbytes instructions. Bitmap to none, I also set
vector to none. I used Monaco Color to created the patches and read them on
a DTP41.
With my custom CMYK profile in place I have a very reasonable match to my
matchprint target.
This was the PC version.
My experience on this profile was the same as on the Proofmaster RIP...
Certain shadow colors get oversaturated and they need to be watched for
plugging.
