My question has been on the list several times before, but I deleted all
old mails two days ago. In short:
What4s the different between D65 and 6500K(or D50 and 5000K)
Is it right to say that D is a viewing standard and the K is only a
colortemp.figure?
How do You explain it more precise?
5000K and 6500K are black body temperatures (in kelvin) and by extension
represent the spectral power distribution that a black body would have at
that temperature.
D50 and D65 are spectral power distributions of daylight specified by the
CIE for daylight that has a correlated color temperature of 5000 degrees
kelvin or 6500 degrees kelvin
The two key phrases are "spectral power distribution of daylight" and
"correlated color temperature"
The viewing standard for graphic arts and photography (ISO 3664) specifies
a spectral power distribution of D50 for viewing.both reflection and
transmission materials
