that?<<
Several with me on the list, have wrote about this before.
I repeat:
The Eizo has full adjustments for brightness, gamma and the RGB
beams(but I would not call
it beams here, maybe lcd-pixels?).
With a software like basiCColor display + a DDC-cable+EyeOne; set your
targets,
and the rest is just a play. And very accurate.
And once again, according to the Don Hutcheson method:
Calibrate whatever col.temp/brightness/gamma you want and try to match
it to your viewing-light/booth.
For me it's around: R-100, G-97, B-86, 100%brightness and gamma 2.0,
cd/m2 is 240!. The profile looks nice,
but not with so fine saturation as the Barco. It clips in some colors.
But compared to a print, the LCD is closer than the Barco.
That's visually and probably beacuse of the brightness of the LCD.
A white image on the LCD matched to a white paper in the box, gives me a
difference in luminance less than
1 EV. And a VERY close match for the whitepoint(usually somewhere
between 5600-6200K)<
With a CRT on 85cd/m2 the difference is more than 4 EV!
Then you softproof in PS6-7 with the profile for your print(preferably a
Lambda) in the box, and you'll be in heaven.....
And how about Apple's price-drop for their displays???
