D1X, NEF and Bibble

Hello all

I am new on this list, and still digging in the archives trying to avoid
some of the questions that have been answered yet ...

But I couldn9t resist to pass a little info here because I discovered
tonight the new Bibble software that has interesting features on color
management, specially with Nikon Nef files, much more clear, and more
options than in Nikon Capture, even v3.5.

http://www.bibblelabs.com

There is actually an option (that has not been discussed here I hope), that
is the ability to get D1X files not only in sRGB or Adobe RGB from Nikon
Capture 3.5, since you can use any 3document profile2 set in Colorsync
settings instead.

Up to now I though it was a profile to profile done on the fly by Nikon
Capture 3.5 when saving, but seeing the options in Bibble (pure linear, or
none, custom) I am not sure anymore ...

I just played with it for half an hour, so I can9t tell you more now.

Regards

Denis Gliksman
