Safari and ColorSync

Anyone know why the final, golden version of Safari is so dumb about using
ColorSync with images in HTML docs? You can open a file with an embedded
profile and it previews just fine. But unlike IE 4.5 and 5.0, images in HTML
pages are brain dead as far as color is concerned. Bug or feature?
