I would venture to say they don't correlate well at all! The ideal proofing
stock would match your paper stock of the printed piece, yes? If you are
consistently printing on a brighter sheet, then most commercially available
proofing medias might be too "dingy". I'd try and find something that looks
like the paper the job is going to run on. We moved away from
"proofing/publication" medias and are using a plain vanilla semi-gloss as
it actually matches the stock we print on a little better.
