Hi Neil,
Greeting from the bikini land.
Down here iMac costs over 2 grant a G4 over 3, so we allways tring to
find something that works properly with a reasonable price. I've
profiled the 15" LCD iMac with EyeOne and BasicColor and did ok, but
its viewing angle sucks. Haven't profiled a 17" iMac yet but the Apple
17" Display (LCD) performs a bit better the the iMac but still sucks
comparing to new Cinema Displays,Mitsus or Artisan.
About the CRT's Macs the old 15" iMac no way and the eMac does a decent
job, remember its a LG display behind with no gun control at all, its
heavy as hell and king of ugly im my opinion.
Get a refurbish G4, a good display and a profiling package or service
if you really concerned about color work.
Ad agencies seem pretty happy with eMacs here, and is the better
selling Mac in Brazil now.
PS: Let me know with you want a copy of the iccs to check the gamut
your self.

Friends
I have a pal who wants to buy a profileable system for a photo
library. it has to be pretty good, like 17 LCD quality we hope.
Any chance anyones getting good results out of an eMac? Or even a 15 or
17 LCD iMac??
Are those iMacs as good as the 17 LCD? (which is pretty nice).
