I believe I do this every two years from the looks of my notes.
Thanks to DuWayne for his posts pointing to my ERROR(s). My posting
on generating .trc curves with the Density Adjustment Application in
Roland ColorChoice software is incorrect and is a result of my not
keeping tabs on my postings, shortcuts on the desktop, etc. I was
using PhotoPrint to generate .trc files, not ColorChoice. Too many
apps, too little time and a wasted mind I guess.
Sorry for the misleading info...Roland ColorChoice does not accept
instrument support and cannot create .trc density adjustment curves.

Colorchoice will not see an RGB profile. An you can apply a profile in
Photoshop becuase if you disable color management ink cartridges 5,6,7,8 will
not print.
According to Scanvec, to build custom profiles using third party tools you
have to waiting till PhotoPrint Server Version 4 Beta 2 which just came out
yesterday.
I know that Graeme Gill, Steve Upton, Multiple Gretag guys, myself and Roland
have tried to find a workaround. I have tons of emails from the Scanvec
engineers debating the issue. Maybe joel has the secret.
Joel doesn't have any secrets. Perhaps a misconception that because
LcLmOG ink cartridges are emptying that they are in fact being used
by something somehow. Perhaps even a larger misconception of CSA-CRD
relationships. The likelihood I will have time to figure that one out
is very much lessened by my departure for China in 10 weeks. And I'm
not a programmer nor a developer. Just a PJ turned geek who has a lot
of apps and tools and too little time to truly understand them.
However, I can bow to greater minds and carry on. If CMYK is what I'm
printing, well from a scan to screen to printer WYSIWIG workflow we
seem to doing better here than we expected given the only support we
had to figure out Scanvec-Amiable, Roland, color management workflows
came from this list. I appreciate everything all of you have done and
will continue to follow your endeavors with available interest.
So on that note: I'm going to bow out, catch up on my reading till I
think I know what I'm talking about next time. I hope any
misconceptions I've left in my wake haven't set anyone back.
I'll cc this post to offlist inquiries and the RolandDGA forums
(where I believe I have posted the same information).
Thanks again DuWayne. I needed a good kick in the pants. Apologies to
all (including any I may have inadvertently offended with my
inadvertent nature)
;0)
ps: I've noticed lately that lurkers eat less crow. Not a bad diet.
