A workshop with an emphasis on Epson professional printers and comprehension
of color management with Joseph Holmes,
the creator of Ekta Space PS 5, author of ColorBlind Prove It! software
and three photography books. Topics covered during the five days will
include: understanding film and image capture, digital camera systems; color
management; imaging workflows for fine printing in color; scanning issues
and goals for excellent scans; image editing; printer and printmaking
issues; offset lithography; printing presses and other lithographic systems.

A two-week session in SFAI's Center for Digital Media and
Photography Department's Digital Darkroom with Michael Creedon. One-on-one
attention to the quality of the printed image and in-depth exploration of
the topics from part one of this class. Scrutiny of scanning, introduction
to profile making, aesthetics of paper choice
and ink use will be emphasized.
