Ideals are perhaps not the subject of advise as they are personally
held convictions, but I would venture to suggest changing to an
application which supports an RGB workflow.
QuarkXPress 4X is engineered to produce device dependent PostScript and
device dependent PDF. Which is why many migrated to other page design
software.
If you download the freeware PDF/X-3 Inspector off the web, whether for
Mac OS or for Windows, you can do pretty much what in the past you
needed Adobe InProduction for Mac OS to do, that is, check exactly what
an application emits in the form of PostScript and PDF.
Similarly, if you buy the Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional software,
which is an extended and cross-platform version of Adobe InProduction,
you can check what QuarkXPress 4.0 emits.
Thanks,
Henrik
