Although it ain't inexpensive, you should take a look at BasICColor Remote
Director. Very slick setup. Certified (visual assessment not measurable) by
the SWOP committee with ACD and the Gretag EyeOne Pro (photo or publish)
device. Best of all the SWOP committee provides a Application Data Sheet
that expressly lists what settings and devices are necessary to replicate
the SWOP approved soft proofing scenario.
BasICColor Remote Director provides feedback if the remote ACD is not
calibrated to the same white point, gamma, and luminance as yours. They have
a plug-in for Photoshop to do color corrections and transfer the file
directly to their own app. This is good as you don't have to check if their
app (Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.) CMS is correctly configured.
