I am looking in to set up a remote soft proofing
situation. I am proofing for a SWOP coated press.
LCD monitors such as the apple cinema display could
be used for the proofing of final production media as
SWOP coated products. The reflective nature of these
monitors appears to be a good match for this use.
CRT monitors such as the Sony Artisan demand a
great deal of control of the viewing area.
Remotely managing the Remote viewing station is also
a concern.
I would greatly appreciate any insights achieved on your
experiences in attempts and successes at setting up
soft proofing.
