Hi
I am about to make the jump and order one from the US where it costs a
little over half the European price. Has anyone done that and would
recommend a place to buy and an affordable shipping method?
I am also interested in making custom profiles for the printer with the
Spectrocam-ProfilerPro package. There are some nice RIPs around
(ImagePrint) but I'm told that they won't allow me to do that and use
other profiles than their own (and is pretty expensive software!), and
as far as my information is correct, the Epson driver will not allow the
linearization of the printer for printing the test chart. Using a RIP is
not really required for the volume I am printing, but I wish to obtain
very accurate prints of what I am seeing on screen for the different
papers I will be using (mostly Ilford and Epson). The profiles I have
made for my smaller Epsons are very good and if I could apply this
method to the 9600, it would certainly be very sufficient. Is there a
way to do that?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Paul Schilliger
