Photodesk: Assign or Convert?

Hi All:

Does anyone know if Kodak Photodesk for DCS cameras, when putting Kodak RAW files into a workspace, assigns the workspace profile after applying internal curves, leaving the data untouched regardless of workspace profile chosen, or does it convert the data, resulting in different RGB numbers for different workspace profiles?
