The problem is that it hasn't been taken care of yet. For the owners of the
2200 we are for the present time stuck with a paper weight in the roll paper
cutter. I am sure that anyone purchasing one today is not able to opt-out of
the roll paper cutter when they purchase the printer even though the driver
doesn't suport the function.
This does add to the cost?
I think the $64 question is when will it be fixed if ever?
