Has anybody tried and explored the SuperCal 1.1.3 monitor

According to its creators, it is capable of creating professional-quality
prolfiles without using any mechanical measuring instruments, only through a
series of adjustments made via the user's eyes. I would like to know if
anyone has been able to achieve satisfactory, high-quality monitor profiles
with SuperCal, and how they stack up to ones created with a mechanical
measuring device (say, the EyeOne with basICColor Display) on the same
monitor.

I haven't seen anyone actually address Marco's question (other than to belittle the use of non-hardware based calibration). I no longer have a calibration tool so I can't do any testing myself but it would be interesting to see just *how* different this wet-ware approach versus hardware-based methods turned out to be when used by people really familiar with monitor calibration.
