A few more nice features I left out of my last post regarding the Canon
S9000:
OPTICAL ink level detection
Thank's Keith for contributing your experience and knowledge about the Canon
S9000. It often feels like the market only belongs to the EPSONs and HPs of
this world. We forget that there are alternatives.
Your testimony actually got me thinking about giving the S9000 a try. I too
feel fedup, at times, with EPSON's near monopoly practice in the market --
they take forever to listen and deliver on the kinds of flexible features
people truly want off their machines. Competition can only be healthy.

OK gang. Now everyone has their ears up! I will echo what Keith mentioned
about the ink, they never seem to run out and when they do, they are really
done! The new Canon S9100 introduced at PMA will print a borderless 13x19 at
4800 DPI and is drop dead gorgeous. I have outfitted my studio with every
format Canon up to 36" and I will never look back! My clients are totally
sold on the images, and for a street price of $499 for a 13x19 printer,
unreal. Be prepared though as the unit is not postscript, but it comes with
a RIP demo program that is reasonably priced. But if all you want to do is
print photographs with dead on accuracy. It's the Canon S9000 , or wait for
the 9100 out in a few weeks! PS, I have an Epson 2000 in the box for sale
