Thomas,

There's a new version of ICS basICColor Display in beta right now,
and it's very close to being a finished product.

Among the changes are dynamic selection of the monitor sensor within the
Display application, via a list of devices in Display's Instruments menu.
When you install the new version of Display, device drivers for all of the
supported devices are installed along with it and the instrument names will
show up in this menu, regardless of which device(s) you might actually have
attached.

Once Display is running, you can use the menu to switch to any physically
attached device to calibrate your monitor. (And so, not only can you switch
on the fly, and with Display remembering your device selection and settings
between launches; but you don't need to reinstall Display to use another
device, as was the case with all previous versions).

The six (6) supported devices will be:

Gretag EyeOne (USB) and Spectrolino (serial)
XRite DTP92 (USB only)
Sequel Chroma4 and Squid (USB)
Avantes Spectrocam (serial)
