I have 288 patches measured in iCColor from a 2200 on luster paper. Right
out of the printer and dry down 24 hours latter. Here's what I'm getting
from MeasureTool's compare feature:
Average Overall deltaE is 0.68
Worst 10% is deltaE of 1.66
The one patch that's off the most (indicated in MeasureTool) is a green
patch that reads 2.90. All in all, not too shabby.
When I compare the data one hour after printing and 24 hours latter I get:
Average Overall deltaE is 0.17
Worst 10% is deltaE of 0.40
The one patch that's off the most (indicated in MeasureTool) is a blueish
patch that reads 0.55!
So I'd say pulling the print out and doing a measure isn't super wise. But
one hour after printing seems to be pretty darn stable compared to 24 hours
latter. I'm sure the paper and environmental conditions will make your
mileage vary.
