My sentiments exactly. This whole Epson/OS X thing is in no way
representational of the ease of use I've gotten used to with the Macintosh
system. I remember the day when things were actually easier instead of more
difficult when it came to adding software or hardware to the Mac. This is
one instance (and the only one) where I actually prefer my Windows box. Its
a convoluted process to print, but it works every time. None of this
"enable the root account and delete this folder" crap.
I'm actually suggesting to my friend to revert back to OS 9 for the time
being, at least until Epson can learn to write software that works with the
current operating system. This actually brings up another question I have.
I've only been using Epson printers since OS X was released, but do other
printer companies (HP, Canon) have this problem with OS X? This would be a
beautiful time for HP or Canon to come out with an "Epson killer".
