The Canon 9000 (which is often compared to the Epson 2200, but frankly is
more in line with the Epson 1270/1280/1290 dye inkjets of two or three years
ago) installs and functions very similarly to an Epson under OS X; the
install is sufficiently complex that the installer launches Internet Explorer
and requests that you toggle back and forth from the installer to the
Explorer-based instructions with each step. This is useful, but also gives
you some idea of the complexity of the installation (especially if you have a
previous version installed); on the other hand I don't know what would happen
if you didn't have Explorer installed. It does show off the amazing level of
independant multitasking in OS X, that you can be running a webbrowser while
you do an install, and jump back and forth repeatedly...
