You're not profiling the printer itself, but the printer-media
combination. If the media in your case is laminated, so this is what you
should make the profile for, and there will be nothing wrong with the
CMYK numbers sent to printer. If the customer has both - laminated and
non-laminated jobs, so he'll use two different profiles... Regarding the
sphere instrument - I've done some profiles with very high gloss
laminated prints, and got results just with Spectrolino with polarizer.
