Why do you distrust these error reports? From the examples you listed, they

They do not look like serious errors, but who knows how software may behave
when given profiles that are not legal? Why take the chance?

Roger, I think you read Nick's message a bit too quickly. The error said
that the Header white point (which must always be D50 according to the ICC
spec) was wrong. This is distinctly different from the media white point tag
(which was not mentioned in Nick's message).
