Was reading "Colorsync in Mac OSX" recently. On page 17 it says " a source image without an embedded profile is tagged with the corresponding generic profile". Does this mean that there is no longer any way to send untagged images to a printer? How would one send an untagged target for profiling to say an epson printer? It seems that quartz will tag it regardless as it spools the document and makes the spool PDF file.
I believe that this occurs when you have color management enabled in the print driver.
To print a target for profiling, turn off color management in the driver and all should be fine

Steve
