I'm trying to use an Epson Stylus Pro 7500 to print contract proofs that
reasonably match our DuPont Waterless proofs. I've been using Epson archival
inks to a variety of Epson proofing papers with no success.
Our RIP is ProofMaster Mezzo running on a G3 Mac. I was able to talk my
supervisor into purchasing an Eye One Publisher on the guarantee that it
would solve our proof problems.
I've managed to isolate the problem to the ink density versus the paper--if
I run the total ink greater than 220% the ink runs, which is unacceptable.
However, if I run the total ink less than 300%, the print is too light.
Is there an inkjet paper (preferably roll paper) that can hold 300% ink?
Thanks!
