Probably going back to build 7A202
The final version of Panther is 7B85....7A202, wow, that must be a
really early one. The developer releases aren't meant to be final, if
they were we wouldn't have bothered to keep working on them. Since
you've been installing developer releases and third party software on
top of that, it's hard for me to diagnose what's wrong with your
system. I'd suggest getting the final version and doing a clean
install. Any files left over from the earlier releases, including
preferences, are going to be an unknown quantity. Do a clean install
on your boot volume and try that. If you don't have a separate boot
volume, which you probably should, you can try doing an upgrade in
place but that's not a great idea given that you're installing a final
version of Panther on top of engineering builds of Panther. It might
work fine, but the upgrade install is intended to be used with released
versions of the OS, not engineering builds.
