Recommended by Canon ???

Can someone please explain to me how ColorSync interacts with the Canon printer driver?

My system:
--Mac OSX with Photoshop 7.0
--Canon S820 with driver v1.5.1

In the ColorSync Utility I have selected printer profile "BJ Color Printer 2000.icc" and I expect to see it listed as one of my profile choices when I select ColorSync as my method of Color Correction in the printer driver Color Options window. Instead all I see is something called "Recommended by Canon." I can't figure out what that is or means. A product support rep at Canon tells me it is a "profile created by Canon and optimized for our printers." I've searched my system for a profile by that title and nothing exists.

Canon has been woefully inadequate in answering my questions. I'm hoping someone on this list can be more helpful.

Thanks.

Paul Perez
