Image print is not the only rip that does this or worse. Most of the rips I
know don't automatically connect to the display profile Mac or PC but have
to have a profile copied into the profile folder (or in some cases even a
generic rgb monitor space is used until replaced with the current monitor
profile).
It is nice that the rip makers are slowly coming around to soft previewing.
Even nicer as you say would be to link the monitor in a normalised ICC
workflow.
