This brings another thought to mind: by the Epson chipped cartridge model, it
would appear that it would be legal to hack the serial numbers for the paper,
sell the same brand of paper for less, and provide hacked numbers. After all,
it is only a functionality control you are hacking, as with cartridge control
chips, which are supposedly not a protectable item. Don't know as it would be
worth anyone's effort, but its an interesting legal issue.
