Making a psuedo profile from PS's color settings...

I'd like to make a CMYK profile by saving out a custom CMYK setup from
Photoshop 7. The problem I'm having is the ink colors I input are not what I
end up with in the end. I need to use the ink colors from a current press
profile I have, which I'm reading from ColorThink (C, M, Y, K, CM, CY, MY,
CMY, White), but if I read the new profile in ColorThink or Photoshop, the
Lab values are different than what I inputted in the setup. I tried
calculating the Lab values with different rendering intents without success.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or is what I want not possible?

Thanks,

Carl Stawicki
