Many users run Apple Studio CRT or iMac calibration first, then build their
OptiCAL profile on top of those settings. Any settings that actually adjust
hardware controls on the CRT are captured this way; any that are software
settings to the profile or videocard are lost when OptiCAL is started, but an
accurate profile of the resulting state of the monitor is built.
