The RDF225WG display is currently a "Japan only" product and will not be
available outside Japan until sometime next year (under a different model
name).
FYI - This display uses a completely new set of CRT phosphors which provide
a much wider color gamut than regular EBU phosphors. This wider color gamut
encompasses 97.6% of the Adobe RGB color space. So now colors that are
outside of the normal sRGB gamut but within Adobe RGB can be correctly
displayed instead of being clipped. Due to the much wider color gamut, it
is essential that the monitor be used in a color managed work flow with the
correct monitor color profile, otherwise images will appear to be
super-saturated.

I am not getting any money from anyone for saying this but, if you're in a
situation like me, or want to do serious color work, and can't afford the
Artisan, perhaps this is worth considering -- if the price is not too high.
Mitsubishi claims that they "calibrate" it to the Adobe RGB color space. In
fact, they say that it is capable of reproducing 97.6% of the color gamut
available from Adobe RGB!
I'm sort of in the same boat, Roger. Perhaps we could ask William
Hollingworth to chime in here to illuminate Mitsubishi's announcement
about their new "Adobe RGB" monitor.
