I am currently producing fine art photographic prints on an Epson 2200

Are RIP's such as Imageprint or ColorBurst able to achieve a broader
color gamut than I can get with my EyeOne profiles? I appreciate any
experience you can share with me.
No combination of RIP + profile will compensate for inherent
limitations of whatever system (imaging fluid + media + illumination)
is used for image realization.
The 2200 is a great device but the hybrid (pigment + dye? Correct me
please if I'm wrong here in my understanding) "inks" it uses will have
a narrower gamut than pure dye-based inks.
The trade-off for the lack of colors at the gamut's extremes is in
greater longevity for the colors that can be realized.
