I have a copy of ProfilierPro, however, the solution is required for a
newspaper printing environment, what are your opinions with regards to
this? Is it a feasilbe solution?
It would appear that there isn't a simple interface (custom curves) to
set UCA as well as setting GCR in any current profile package. Is that a
fair conclusion?

with ProfilerPRO and a Maximum Black Generation setting. There is a tiny
bit
of ink in the Cyan channel, and a bit more in the Yellow channel, but
not
enough to effect what the black channel looks like to any significant
degree. I
suppose you could manage to reduce these cross channel values a bit
further with
DoctorPRO, but its close enough for most uses without editing.
