Hello Gariba,
Your profile maybe just fine. To check the profile and how it converts
you need to create a RGB vignette in photoshop that has a range of 0 to
255RGB. Leave enough room at the 0 and 255 point to take a reading.
The 0 end should come in at 360% and the 255 end should come in at 0%
ink. You can then read further down the scale(vignette) and find the
320% number, most likely somewhere around 235-240 RGB. In other words,
your scanner is setting the d-max low or the images you are scanning do
not have very dense black.
A grey elephant on sandy beach won't produce a scan that ranges from
white to black and you won't have any 360% ink limit any where in such
an image. This vignette "grey scale" image should have equal amount of
RGB through out and should appear grey on your screen and when proofed.

Hi all,
I'm converting a lot of Images that I did scanned and converted to
AdobeRGB to CMYK, I need a total ink limit of around 350% but I'm
getting just 320% , even using CMYK profiles of 360% til.
The images were scanned in a Imacon 848, using the profiles supplied by
Imacon.
Could someone help me on this?
Thanks in advance, gariba.
