Proofing inks

This question is for users of the HP5500 (or like) for generating "contract colour" proofs.

We are using the C4930A series inks from HP and Heidelberg's Saphira Proofing Paper Premium Semi Matte stock.
I'm finding a good deal of day-to-day colour fluctuation. Has anyone tested other or even UV inks? Would the use of UV inks produce more consistent results?
