Hi Jim,
This should be an AppleTalk device, so printing to it should NOT be a
problem. Just make sure you have the latest Fiery PPD, that AppleTalk is
turned on in your System Preferences -> Network and then choose "Built-in
Ethernet" from the interface drop down and then click on the AppleTalk tab
and check "Make AppleTalk Active" (it should be on by default from Apple).
The ColorSync profiles will work as well, though you would probably be
better served getting new profiles based on your copier and the paper you
use. There are a some really good companies that will make profiles for you,
I work with Chromix but you can find others as well (note - I have a
professional relationship with Chromix, I'm not suggesting them over another
company, they're the only one I know the name of). Profiles go into one of
many places, but Library -> ColorSync -> Profiles is a good place to start.
Talk to the company that sold you the Sharp, as they are your primary
support conduit and not EFI. They can tell you if EFI has any OSX dedicated
software. All of EFI's tools should work fine in Classic mode since you
really don't need to access them often.
Good Luck!
