ColorSync and iPhoto and Slide Shows?

  • Subject: ColorSync and iPhoto and Slide Shows?

I recently had to submit some photos for a slide show that was done in iPhoto. I thought that iPhoto was Colorsync savvy and would respect my Adobe RGB tagged images. It did not, and the images were light and flat. I quick test showed that images converted first to ColorMatch produced better results.

I thought I remember being at a ColorSync Users Group meeting in Cupertino last year where a Apple Colorsync representative explained how iPhoto would honor color profiles, and that OS X in general would would use ColorSync at the system level. Perhaps this is still in the future?

Does anyone know of a simple Slide Show software that does honor images with Adobe RGB tagged ICC profiles?

Thanks,
Kirk Amyx
