Essentially better output. Yes it's technically a RIP but what IP really
does is provide a better print driver. If you're sending raster data to the
Epson, you don't need the Postscript part of ImagePrint. The product
produces a much better environment to print images and really shines at
handling B&W prints since it doesn't use the yellow ink. There are
additional benefits in workflow if you need them. The ability to create
packages, step and repeat and gang up images quickly without having to build
all this in Photoshop (especially to a large format printer) can be a great
time saver.
