Thanks
Dear Steven,
The ink bleeding target in ProofMaster 2.0 is designed to determine the
amount of ink a media can hold.
You have an individual ink chart, a combined ink chart and a grey
balance chart.
Every chart has it's own specific information guiding you to use chart
A and/or B.
Since the amount of ink bleeding is to be determined visually (edges
bleeding, patches still wet after 30min, dry effects, etc) there is no
need for an instrument driven input.
Once the ink bleeding is determined (individual and/or combined) the
next step is to output and measure the ink density charts.
Then you need to select either a reference ICC profile (the target you
want to match) or enter Dmax values for digital color proofing.
For a photo queue printer profile you don't need to select a reference
ICC profile, just leave the Dmax at their max values in order to get
the maximum color gamut in respect of the ink limitation.
This step is where the ink jet colors will be maxed out in coherence
with the target. The expert mode will also show you the final ink
mixtures.
Last step is to output your ICC color target, measure it and create the
ICC profile.
For the creation of the ICC profile, ProofMaster will display the max
ink to be used in your profiling software. This max ink is the result
of the ink bleeding limitation and your selected target.
Greetings
