Computer-to-plate (CTP) technology continues to demonstrate
improvements in efficiency, productivity and print quality for many
companies. But there are many that have yet to implement CTP, or have
struggled to realize its benefits.

This two-part webinar program will explore in detail critical issues
facing CTP implementation today, including the technology alternatives
and the crucial business issues involved in selecting and implementing
CTP technology.

In addition to expert instruction, a diverse panel of knowledgeable
users with first hand experience will share both the pains and joys of
CTP implementation.

Part 1 - Tuesday, December 14, 2004
-----------------------------------
1:00 PM Eastern US

Issues to be addressed in Part 1 include:
  - What are the real benefits of CTP? Why should I invest?
  - What "digitization transformation" do I need BEFORE I invest
     in a platesetter?
  - Imaging technologies: thermal vs. visible and processless imaging
  - Quality Control: What unique steps are necessary?
  - Calibration: how often is it needed to achieve output consistency
    and accuracy?
  - Screening: insuring success of high screen rulings including
     stochastic and hybrid systems
  - Profiling: making sure your press profiling is correct
  - Proofing: how to insure the proof matches the plate/press (part 1)

Part 2 -Tuesday, December 21, 2004
-----------------------------------
1:00 PM Eastern US

Issues to be addressed in Part 2 include:
  - Proofing: how to insure the proof matches the plate/press (part 2)
  - Real life implementation "do's and don'ts"
  - What to watch out for when installing a system
  - Workflow: insure CTP fits your own internal workflow AND
     your customers workflow
  - Automation and Speed: what are the real expectations impacting
     productivity?
  - File formats: dealing with native and PDF files
