We are a Mid-size printing company that is getting
more into the Colormanagement end of things. We
recently integrated the Dalim work flow into our plant
as well. We are using Mistral and the Twist interface
of Dalim. We had a Color consultant group come out and
profiled our press and Epson Printers to match using
GMG proofing software. They also took the Press data
and created a CMYK color space profile for our
conversions. We then took this profile and plugged it
into our Dalim RIP so hopefully it would convert the
RGB files into our CMYK color space on the fly. To
make a long story short, we are looking for a
combination of print drivers and postscript settings
for quark 4,5, and 6 that will allow our RIP to take
RGB files placed in Quark and convert to our CMYK
working space. We are not sure if this is even
possible so excuse the question if it seems absurd.
So if anyone has suggestions or information on this
subject, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
