Hello Angus Pady
What Delta e you mean when you say 90- 95% matching?

I have installed all setup calibrations/profiles on all three. I would
pass on
the iProof PowerRIP X and consider the Best DE or the Adesso. Both of
these rips,
when setup properly can offer excellent colour matching. Your weak spot
is your
printer. The 1270 is old and you may want to consider a 2200. The inks
are substantially
more stable and have no dry down as does the 1270.
Deciding between the DE and the Adesso comes down to price and your
needs. The DE is
best suited for one media. Any changes in your workflow need to be
changed at the
RIP. In a small shop with only 1 or 2 users this usually does not pose
a problem but in
larger shops it can. The Adesso allows you to connect to two printers
and can have a number of
queues - RGB, CMYK, Photo, Proofing, resolution and media are example
of different queues
you can setup.
Both offer Spot colour matching but the Adesso has an edge in that the
user can edit the spots
in CMYK or Lab to fine tune them.
To get the best colour it is recommended to have a qualified installer
calibrate and create
profiles for the RIP. The profiles supplied are good in both cases but
will only get you to 85
percent matching. A custom setup can reach 90-95 with the right media.
Atenciosamente,
Alex Hermann
