Hi,

We have had similar problems with other media, including an Epson product, on an Epson 9000. At the time, we were running other types of cleaner media on the same machine, and we got in the habit of running 3 or more nozzle cleaning procedures on the Epson utility before even trying a nozzle check. There are some other more extensive nozzle cleaning procedures you can do on the Epson 9000 beyond the one in the utility; I'm not sure if there are similar ones on the 4000, but someone at Epson (or maybe on this list) could tell you about them. But it sounds like so far you can take care of the problem without those.

Besides that, there's not much I can say about it except I sympathize with you!

Is anyone familiar with using Lexjet Direct semi-matte paper with the
Epson 4000. I am having issues with frequent clogged nozzles on our
Epson 4000's. I have noticed a significant amount of "dust" from the
Lexjet paper we are currently using. Usually a quick cleaning or nozzle
check is all it takes to correct.

Is anyone having similar issues and does Epson paper give off the same
sort of "dust" as Lexjet stock? I would be interested in finding out
more info as the clogging has become frequent and quite frankly a hassle
to correct so often.

Thank you!

Mark Crawford
