I found it on page 221 of PrintOpen - Application_en.pdf User Guide. It's
under View>Proof Correction. I have not touched that part of the software
yet. I noted that it only improves the AbsoluteColorimetric rendering
intent. Which is what a lot of site like to do any way for accurate
proofing.
Since it requires the color data of the printing process and the proof
result, it functions as a kind of "Device Link" profile but without actually
requiring a Device Link profile to function. Although PO5 can generate such
profiles now.
What it does is compare the print data (press sheet) to the initial proof
data (inkjet output) and makes appropriate corrections for any deviations,
to minimize the differences. And this procedure can be used many times --
iteratively, as is noted. With the differences becoming less every step??
Sounds too good to be true...
One simply load the two profiles and hit the Calculate button.
I will try this ASAP and report back to the list.
Thank you Mike,
