I was just speaking to a well respected color geek/color scientist who's
worked with a number of such products and that's exactly the point he made
which I found interesting. This fellow was indicating that having multiple
units of the same make that all behave very, very closely (and better, that
behave like other more expensive units from the same manufacturer) is quite
important. Maybe more so then having "ultimate accuracy" in measuring
(whatever that means).

Apparently this is certainly true for repeatability which is pretty darn
important.
